Residential Architects

  • Residential Architect – LEED Green Building Rating System
  • LEED is a national third-party certification system that recognizes leadership in green building. The LEED Green Building Rating Systems are voluntary, consensus-based, and market-driven. Based on existing and proven technology, they evaluate environmental performance from a whole building perspective over a building’s life cycle, providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a green building in design, construction, and operation.
  • LEED green home building performance
  • LEED for Homes, which launched in February 2008, measures green homebuilding performance based on eight categories: site selection, water efficiency, materials & resources, energy & atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, location & linkages, awareness & education, and innovation. Within each of these areas, projects earn points toward certification. LEED has four levels of certification: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with Platinum representing the highest level of achievement.
  • National Green Building Standard ICC-700 Approved
  • The NAHB Research Center Green Approved mark is a builder’s assurance that a product is eligible for points toward National Green Building Certification. Approval is measured based on the National Green Building Standard™, which is the best existing standard for green and sustainable residential projects.
